Sometimes life cuts a groove and imprisons us in its path
We are unaware that we are its prisoners held quite fast
There are several distractions that keep us preoccupied
And thus by sleight of hand we are inveigled and petrified
Certain rules spring into being almost overnight unannounced
These didnt bind us earlier but now have become paramount
Death is the price one has to pay seemingly for a violation
None dare question these absurdities of mind's aberration
Families cherish their new born with a great deal of joy
But yet are ready to sacrifice them in society's employ
Youngsters are gladly sent to battle front to kill and die
And their death is considered the right price for a life
Children are not allowed to live a life as a child should
Instead they are forced into a competitive early manhood
There is no time for them to pause, play and be in wonder
No sooner they are born than plans are made to conquer
A new born child is a divine manifestation seeking fulfilment
The greatest favor we can do is to prevent its disillusionment
We dont have to do anything to make a child become a "success"
Just allow divinity to flow through without becoming obsessed
