Final abandon

Mountains ring the thoroughfare that is a decade old
I have seen a hillside that had a shrine in its fold
Flowers had been placed there by a hand quite unknown
They were renewed for a while and now have all flown

Sometimes the awesome orb becomes an artist of skill
It dips into divine palette and skies with color fill
It announces its arrival with an awesome brush of red
And by the same token, bids its fond farewell westward

I witnessed this display of color when riding home
Reaching out I dabbed the sky with color of my own
It was my blood that stained the sky at rise and set
Announcing to my beloved that my soul was at rest

My journey of many births had finally found solace
I had met my beloved at the tryst beyond all space
My tired corporeal sheath could finally be undone
And I filled the sky with color in complete abandon
