Ecstasy

Sometimes the path ahead seems a bit confusing
It appears that forces are controlling the way
But the truth is that God is always in charge
Even though it appears that chance holds sway

Our choices may appear to be many and equal
But they are in truth guided by plan eternal
One of them is the right choice for our life
And that is the path which has the least strife

Surrender is all that it takes to travel there
A strong belief in the grace of the Divine Spirit
Our willingness to give up all attachments is key
And then Spirit will guide us to our final destiny

But our fear can sometimes hold us back indecisive
And then our spirit chafes, restless and in agony
We feel that our current state is not to be forfeit
But grace inexorable pulls us towards personal ecstasy
