When the eastern skies were lighting up in anticipation
I was sitting at a small alcove deeply immersed in thought
Stillness was in the sky preceding dawn, laced by light shaft
What would the day bring? - the mind chattered without tact
I was frustrated: I was only seeing the day moment by moment
I was like a man in a fog, groping his way through impermanent
Things became clearer only on approach: and journey was random
Where is the goal? There was no clarity and end I couldnt fathom
There was no guide or a map provided to aid in this life journey
We fashion short term plans and hope it will result in a epiphany
A light will blaze then, we hope, and make everything quite clear
And we will then look back, laugh, at those things that we fear
But I want to be in control of my destiny, not just live on in hope
My manifestation has a purpose and is not just of random scope
As a red light stained the western skies, I broke free of my reverie
Moments had slipped by, I shall wait yet another day for recovery
