Torment's end

As we were once in a state of innocence, playing together as children
We shall never be again: time had come by to alter us as different
What happened to that child that was so carefree and free to play?
Could it be that it died without fanfare and a goodbye one fine day?

There was a time when we took our existence in this world for granted
No questions of self worth troubled us or made our minds disgruntled
Our existence was all the proof needed that we were quite self worthy
No external approval was needed by us to acknowledge our purity

There seemed to be a divine hand that provided for us without fail
We didnt even need to pray for fulfilment: our intentions prevailed
No one was suspect in our eyes, there were no divisions of friend or foe
All were equal in our eyes and we lived a life of bliss in Grace's flow

But subtly we transformed into so called "Grownups" with time's pass
We have lost all the skills that we had possessed as tiny little tots
If only we have the capacity to retrieve even a little of those moments
Our world would be transformed magically, with an end to our torments
