Choice maker

Sometimes in life we are poised on the horns of a dilemma
As our life's events unfold daily as if in a staged drama
Equally plausible choices are presented before the viewer
And a quick decision has to be made, time being the driver

Either way there is a disappointment waiting to happen
And such is the truth of life, arriving in forms misshapen
Each such form hides a grain of truth, never seen clearly
And makes the superficial observer to judge quite unfairly

Sometimes the greater good has to be taken into account
And this is realized only a posteriori during recount
Perhaps to the choice maker the rationale is self evident
Whereas to the observer without care, it is unrepentant

I have made choices in my life, which led to great sorrow
But always was with a motive that brings good in the morrow
I am clear in the constant remembrance of a Spiritual guide
And if I were to live again, I will repeat my choices with pride

This has reference to your composition entitled “Choice Maker”.The contents of your verse are very reassuring. There are not many persons, who can say with conviction that, given a chance to live their lives all over again, they would do so, with pride, in exactly the same way as they did the first time. Such an assertion can be made only by a person with a deeply analytical mind and a firm belief in the correctness of all ones responses to the various challenges thrown up by life. May your tribe increase.
