Contemplation

What lies beyond the meditative state I wonder?
Taken quite to it, I spend time here and yonder
In a calmer state than in daily life ego bound
But still there is a pull that brings me around

Into life's incessant activities, tasks to be done
Schedules to be met, and little battles to be won
All of which seem so important, and quite relevant
Even though Nature's truth is contrary prevalent

As a peaceful and harmonious state that enervates
Our spirit and makes it rise in joy to higher states
A wild bush shelters a frail nest, home to fledglings
That are cared for by a Mother, loving and sheltering

That ensures every life has a meaning and is meant to be
No questions need be asked whether to belong or be worthy
Such a state is assumed by even the lowest form of life
And shows us a final destination, that shall end all strife
